General Paediatrics

Dr Niamh can accept referrals for general paediatric conditions such as asthma, cardiac murmurs, frequent fainting, recurrent urinary tract infections, suspected coeliac disease with positive blood tests, sleep disturbance, faltering growth in infants under one. She does not take out patient referrals for abdominal pain or constipation, or for bedwetting.

Referrals to do with the kidneys, bladder etc are best referred to a Consultant Urologist – Dr Helen Hegarty.  Gastroenterology referrals such as tummy pain, constipation and any abdominal issues etc are best referred to general paediatrics – Dr Ioana Maris or Dr Waqar Ahmed, all based in the Bon Secours.
