Concussion

Dr Niamh is part of the UPMC Irish Concussion network. Children with concussion (up to the age of 17) are referred by GP or from emergency departments. They are assessed using an online tool called ImPact, and a comprehensive clinical examination.

Children with concussion are then referred for specialised physiotherapy in order to assist their recovery.
